Crushing raw gypsum — especially in humid climates — poses a major challenge. Fine particles, combined with moisture, cause material to stick to the plant, leading to high maintenance requirements, machine damage, and downtime.
Crush + Size Roll Crushers and Sizers, thanks to their gentle crushing action, are the ideal primary and secondary crushers for raw gypsum. Extremely slow roll rotation and precisely designed crushing tools deliver the optimal crushing result for downstream processes: minimal fines, a coarse grain size distribution, and effective limitation of the maximum grain size for the downstream grinding and calcination processes.

For the most compact process possible, screening can be omitted in both the primary and secondary stages (depending on the product size required).
The optional adjustable crushing gap allows the final grain size to be precisely tuned, while at the same time effectively protecting the crushers against overload situations and foreign objects.
